Chelsea demand £60m for Jackson amid Tottenham, Villa interest

Chelsea have set a £60 million asking price for striker Nicolas Jackson, with Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa among the clubs interested in signing him, according to reports. The fee has become the 'main obstacle' to a potential transfer, as reported by RMC Sport.

Jackson's loan spell and return to Chelsea

Jackson scored 11 goals in 34 appearances during a loan spell at Bayern Munich last season, but the Bundesliga champions declined to make the move permanent for €65 million (£55.5 million). After featuring four times for Senegal at the 2026 World Cup, the 25-year-old has returned to Chelsea for pre-season training.

New Chelsea head coach Xabi Alonso has been given the final say over Jackson's future at Stamford Bridge. According to RMC Sport, Chelsea and Alonso are open to selling Jackson before the transfer window closes, but only if their £60m valuation is met.

Interest from Tottenham, Aston Villa, and Atletico Madrid

The report adds that Tottenham, Aston Villa, and Atletico Madrid are all interested in securing Jackson's services. However, Chelsea's £60m price tag is proving to be a stumbling block, described as a 'main obstacle' preventing the striker's exit.

Jackson was left out of Chelsea's squad for their final pre-season friendly on Saturday, as Alonso's side secured a 3-1 victory over Real Sociedad at Stamford Bridge. His absence from the matchday squad has fueled speculation about his future.

Chelsea's striker reinforcements and other departures

Chelsea have already strengthened their attacking options this summer with the £5 million signing of Danny Welbeck from Brighton earlier in the month. The club are also open to offers for Liam Delap, who was also not included in the squad for the friendly against Real Sociedad.

Serie A side Como, managed by Cesc Fabregas and who have already signed Trevoh Chalobah this summer, have made an approach to sign Delap. However, the 23-year-old's preference is to join a Premier League club. Chelsea are demanding a £40m fee for Delap, who they signed from Ipswich Town for £30m last year.
