Casualty Not Airing Tonight Due to Eurovision; Return Date Confirmed
Casualty Off Air for Eurovision; Back Next Saturday

Casualty fans, prepare for disappointment: the medical drama will not air this evening, Saturday, May 16, 2026. The show is taking a break due to the Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final, which broadcasts on BBC One from 8pm to approximately 11:50pm. The two semi-finals air on Tuesday and Thursday, both at 8pm.

When Will Casualty Return?

The good news is that Casualty will be back next Saturday, May 23, at its usual time. The episode will also be available on BBC iPlayer from 6am on the same day. So fans have only a week to wait for the next installment of the current boxset, Lethal Legacy.

What Has Happened in Lethal Legacy So Far?

The storyline began with fears of a new pandemic. Flynn Byron (Olly Rix) and his team implemented measures at Holby City Hospital to handle an influx of respiratory patients, but they also had to contend with the arrival of the military, led by Colonel Jack Bard (Mark Womack). Last Saturday, Flynn discovered a disturbing secret about Jack, whom he knows from his own military service. An explosion at the Wyvern Hill Estate revealed a toxic waste dump, and one of Jack's soldiers was injured. In the ED, Flynn examined the soldier and found bruises on his back, raising suspicions. Jack intervened before Flynn could uncover the truth, leaving Flynn shaken.
