Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Remake collector's edition and prices have leaked just hours before the official reveal. Ubisoft is expected to showcase the remake, officially titled Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced, later today at 5pm BST. The game's existence has been an open secret for years, and Ubisoft has even advertised it as 'gaming's worst kept secret.'
Collector's Edition Details
A listing for the collector's edition appeared on Amazon's French website, including a statue of protagonist Edward Kenway and in-game extras like a costume. The price was listed at €200 (approximately £174), though Amazon has since removed the price while marking the edition as unavailable. Reliable leaker billbil-kun confirmed the UK price of £174.99 and revealed the standard edition will cost £49.99, making it cheaper than the last mainline game, Assassin's Creed Shadows, which costs £69.99 on consoles and £59.99 on PC.
Release Date and Pricing
According to billbil-kun, the game launches on July 9, 2026, a quiet week for new releases. The launch edition is priced at $59.99 / €59.99 / £49.99, while the collector's edition is $199.99 / €199.99 / £174.99.
Other Assassin's Creed Remakes
Black Flag Resynced is not the only Assassin's Creed remake in development. Ubisoft is reportedly planning at least one more, likely a remake of the popular Assassin's Creed 2. However, the company has canceled the Alterra project, described as an Animal Crossing/Minecraft-like social sim, after three years of development. No layoffs have been reported. This cancellation follows the abandonment of six other games earlier this year, including the highly anticipated Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake.
An ID@Xbox showcase will follow the Assassin's Creed reveal at 6pm BST, focusing on indie games. For more gaming news, visit our Gaming page.
