PSG pulls out over agent commission
According to RMC Sport, PSG’s hierarchy deemed the commission demanded by Suzuki’s agents too high and opted to withdraw from the agreement. The report adds that, barring any unforeseen circumstances, Suzuki will not join PSG this summer. Sky Sport Italy, meanwhile, reports that Suzuki had not given the green light to the move due to concerns over playing time.
Villa have retained their interest in the 23-year-old and could now have a clear path to signing him, with no other club reportedly in advanced talks.
Juventus enquire about Emiliano Martinez
In a separate development, Juventus made a fresh enquiry to Villa regarding a deal for Emiliano Martinez on Saturday. However, Villa’s director of football operations, Damian Vidagany, had insisted last month that the Argentina international would remain at the club.
“The goalkeeper’s future is settled, he is staying with us, and we have no intention of letting him go this summer,” Vidagany told 365 Scores. “The team needs his efforts and extensive experience, and he is a very important element in our project for next season. All the news published by the media about his departure to Juventus does not reflect the club’s true position. Martinez is a very important player for us, and we expect him to continue delivering his outstanding performances alongside his teammates.”
