Surrey declared at 615-7, and Sussex responded with 358-9 declared. Surrey lead by 257 runs, putting them in a strong position to push for victory on day four.
Division Two Update
Canterbury: Kent vs Derbyshire
Kent are 228-6 in their second innings, leading by 276 runs after Derbyshire made 304 in their first innings. Kent’s first-innings 352 gave them a slender lead of 48, but their second-innings performance has put them in charge.
Lord’s: Middlesex vs Durham
Middlesex are 430 all out, and Durham are 367-5 in reply, trailing by 63 runs. Durham’s steady batting has kept them in the contest, but Middlesex will look for early wickets on day four.
Northampton: Northamptonshire vs Worcestershire
Northamptonshire declared on 597-7, and Worcestershire are 306 all out, following on 33-1. Northants lead by 291 runs and are firmly in control, with Worcestershire needing a miracle to avoid defeat.
