Lorena Wiebes secured her third stage win of the 2026 Tour of Britain Women, while Kim Le Court maintained the overall lead after stage four. The SD Worx-Protime rider triumphed in a sprint finish in Hay-on-Wye, finishing in 3hr 41min 13sec, ahead of Movistar's Liane Lippert, who took second, and Le Court, who crossed the line third.
Stage route through Mid Wales
The stage began in Llanidloes, Mid Wales, and took riders through Rhayader and the Elan Valley, with climbs in the Cambrian Mountains. The route then led the peloton through Nantmel, Crossgates, Bleddfa and Knighton before the flat run-in to the finish in Hay-on-Wye.
The undulating terrain in the Cambrian Mountains provided the main challenge of the day, but the final sprint was set up perfectly for the fast finishers, with Wiebes proving the strongest in the dash to the line.
General classification standings
With one more day of racing remaining, Le Court, Lippert and Wiebes occupy the top three positions in the general classification. The final stage concludes in Royal Leamington Spa, where the overall winner will be decided.
The stage four result leaves the race finely balanced ahead of the finale, with Le Court holding the leader's jersey but facing strong challenges from Lippert and Wiebes in the standings.
