London Sports Festival 2026 Returns with Expanded Activities

The Central London Alliance CIC has proudly announced the return of the London Sports Festival to the capital in 2026, marking a vibrant celebration of sport, activity, and community engagement across London. This festival aims to transform central London into a dynamic hub of participation, bringing together people of all ages and abilities through a wide range of sports, live activations, and community-led events.

Building on Past Success

Following previous editions that attracted over 30,000 participants, the 2026 festival will expand its reach with a thrilling lineup of sports activations. These will be hosted at iconic central London locations and hidden streets, designed to increase access to sport and physical activity throughout the capital. The initiative seeks to encourage healthier lifestyles, strengthen community connections, and highlight London's reputation as a global leader in sport, culture, and innovation.

Key Activities and Locations

The festival will kick off with some of last year's favorites, including:

  • Pickleball at St James's Park Station from 18 February to 1 April
  • Padel Table Tennis at Tower Suites Walkway from 18 February to 3 April
  • Padel at Tower Hill Terrace from 12 March to 25 October
  • Padel at Hay's Galleria from 19 March to 23 August

These activations are part of a broader effort to support local businesses, drive footfall into central London, and contribute to the city's continued recovery and vibrancy by activating public spaces.

Community and Economic Impact

London Sports Festival 2026 will not only offer opportunities to try new sports and celebrate London's rich sporting culture but also promote the city as a hub for sport and activity. By creating inclusive sporting experiences, the festival aims to foster community engagement and economic growth.

Tony Matharu, Chairman of Central London Alliance CIC, commented: "London Sports Festival 2026 is about utilising the unique power of sport to bring people together. By transforming and animating everyday spaces into places of activity, we create opportunities for communities, businesses and visitors to connect, enjoy and experience London in new and exciting ways. This is just the beginning of what will be a season of energy, participation and celebration across the capital."
