Both players finished regulation at 20-under-par 264, forcing a sudden-death playoff on the 18th hole. Koivun's rise
Koivun, a former collegiate star at Auburn, turned professional last year and entered the event ranked 187th in the world. He carded rounds of 65, 66, 67, and 66 to reach the playoff. "It's surreal to beat Scottie," Koivun said. "I grew up watching him, and to win like this is a dream come true."
Scheffler's near miss
Scheffler, seeking his seventh win of the season, shot a final-round 67 to force the playoff. The loss was his first in a playoff since 2022. "Jackson played great," Scheffler said. "I had my chances but couldn't convert."

The win moves Koivun into the top 60 in the FedEx Cup standings, securing his spot in the playoffs. Scheffler remains atop the standings despite the loss.
