Hackney Half Marathon 2026: Route, Start Times, and Viewing Guide

Welcome to the ultimate guide for the Hackney Half Marathon 2026. Whether you are lacing up your running shoes or preparing to cheer from the sidelines, this comprehensive article covers all essential details for London's most vibrant running event this weekend.

Event Overview

If the London Marathon is the Glastonbury of running events, the Hackney Half can be likened to Reading and Leeds. Since its inception in 2014, this annual 13.1-mile journey through east London has become one of the UK's most popular races, emphasizing enjoyment and community spirit. Officially known as the HOKA Hackney Half for sponsorship reasons, every mile features DJs, live bands, and thousands of enthusiastic spectators to motivate runners.

The race is the highlight of Hackney Moves, a weekend-long festival on Hackney Marshes offering fitness classes, food stalls, and live entertainment. The 2026 edition takes place this weekend, so here is everything you need to know.
