Men's elite race

Other competitors included Léo Garoyan of France, who led Ruben Gommers of Belgium during the men's heats, and Lars Bosch of Belgium and Cameron Gatt of Australia, who led out in the men's round one. Juan Diego Pinilla García of Colombia crashed on the track, and Japan's Hyoga Kiuchi also crashed out while other riders made a jump.
Women's elite race
Australia's reigning Olympic champion Saya Sakakibara rode her way to a silver medal after the final race was called off due to bad weather. She addressed spectators after racing was cancelled due to dangerous wind. Australian rider Sienna Pal and Manon Veenstra of the Netherlands competed during the championships. Sakakibara and Thalya Burford of Switzerland went head to head in earlier races.
