Police are urgently appealing for information after a man was subjected to a brutal knifepoint robbery in Tottenham, which left him naked and with a broken shoulder.
Horrific Details of the Early Morning Attack
The violent incident occurred on Williamson Road in Tottenham in the early hours of August 14 last year. Metropolitan Police officers who arrived at the scene shortly after 6am discovered a 47-year-old victim who had been severely assaulted.
The attacker, armed with a knife, forced the victim to withdraw money from a cashpoint before stealing all of his personal belongings. In a further act of humiliation and violence, the victim was stripped naked during the ordeal and sustained a broken shoulder.
CCTV Image Released in Public Appeal
Despite extensive investigations since the attack, the suspect has so far evaded capture. Detectives have now released a CCTV image of a man they are keen to identify and speak to in connection with the crime.
The wanted individual is described as a white man, aged around 30, approximately 5ft 10ins tall, with dirty blond hair. At the time of the robbery, he was seen wearing a distinctive purple jacket, three-quarter length shorts, and dark Nike Air Max 95 trainers.
He was also carrying a green backpack and had a pair of headphones around his neck.
Police Plea for Information
Detective Constable David Medeck, from the Met's Northern Area Command Unit, stated: “We have released this image of a man we would like to speak to following this horrific robbery. Despite extensive efforts to trace him, we now need the public’s help. If you know or recognise this man, please contact us immediately.”
