A harrowing murder trial in Manchester has heard how a teenager accused of killing a 14-year-old boy allegedly filmed a rap video boasting 'we just done a murder' shortly after the fatal stabbing.
The Fatal Attack
Three teenage boys are standing trial at Manchester Crown Court, accused of murdering Ibrahima Seck. The court was told that Ibrahima was walking to meet friends for a game of football in New Monston, Manchester, on June 8 when he was attacked. He was fatally stabbed in the heart and later died in hospital.
The prosecution stated that two 14-year-olds and a 16-year-old had been part of a group that threatened the victim, his family, and his friends. After a brief altercation and a chase, Ibrahima slipped and fell. It is alleged that one of the accused then knelt over him and delivered the fatal blow.
The Disturbing Video Evidence
In a shocking turn of events, the prosecution claimed that the boy who allegedly stabbed Ibrahima then filmed himself. In the video, which was played to the jury, he is said to have improvised a rap, boasting 'we just done a murder'.
The court heard that the video, which had music playing in the background, showed the defendant turning the camera to show one of his co-defendants. This footage forms a central part of the prosecution's case.
Aftermath and Further Charges
Tragically, Ibrahima managed to get up and run to a nearby house to seek help after the attack. He was subsequently taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Two women, Naomi Heavens, 39, and Keri Dobson, 37, are also on trial, accused of assisting the teenage boys after the fact. The prosecution alleges they helped the boys leave the area and provided them with a change of clothing. Both women deny charges of assisting an offender.
All three teenage defendants have pleaded not guilty to charges of murder and manslaughter. The trial continues at Manchester Crown Court.
