Sister Appeals for London Man Missing Since 1988

Rosalind Bushell, the only surviving relative of Ian Bushell, has issued a heartfelt appeal for information about her brother, who has been missing for 38 years. Ian Bushell was last seen in 1988 when he was 21 years old. He lived in the Abbey Wood area of southeast London at the time and was described as being of medium build with short, black cropped hair. He stands 5 feet 6 inches tall.

In 2007, a family friend believed they saw Ian in Upton Park, east London. At that time, he responded to the name Adrian and claimed to live in Plaistow. This sighting was not reported to police then. Ian would now be 60 years old.

Rosalind's Plea

Rosalind Bushell said: "Ian, I really need to know if you are safe and well. It is the not knowing which is so difficult. I love you and miss you desperately. Please get in touch. If anyone knows anything about my brother please respond to this appeal."

Police Investigation

Detectives from the Met's Missing Persons Unit have created an e-fit artist's impression of how Ian may look now at age 60. Detective Constable Anthony Drew of the Met's Missing Persons Unit stated: "No missing persons case is ever truly closed when we have been unable to bring it to a definitive outcome. We remain committed to finding answers for Ian's family, no matter how much time has passed. If anyone has seen or heard from Ian, or if Ian is reading this appeal, we would urge them to please contact us."
