A 22-year-old man has died after being stabbed during an argument inside a Post Office near Wembley Stadium, sparking a major police manhunt. Terrified shoppers, including mothers with young children, ran for cover during the violent incident on Monday afternoon.
Panic on a Busy London Street
The attack occurred at approximately 12:55pm on Monday, 1 December, inside the Post Office on High Road in Wembley, north west London. Witnesses described scenes of panic as people fled the building.
A delivery rider working nearby told reporters there was an argument before the stabbing. "Shoppers were running and taking cover. It was terrifying, it was like they were running for their lives," he said. "Wembley is busy and there were mothers with prams and kids around – some people were screaming."
A restaurant worker, Mohammed Abde, recounted seeing people run from the Post Office, with one shouting "he's been stabbed." He confirmed police quickly arrived and ordered the busy area to be cleared.
Emergency Response and Fatal Outcome
Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service rushed to the scene. They treated the victim inside the shop before moving him outside to administer emergency care, including prolonged chest compressions.
The London Air Ambulance dispatched a trauma team by car. Despite the extensive efforts of medical personnel at the roadside, the young man was pronounced dead after being transported to hospital.
A police cordon was established around the Post Office as forensic officers began a meticulous search for evidence. Dozens of officers scoured the local streets in an immediate attempt to locate the attacker.

Detective Chief Superintendent Luke Williams expressed his condolences, stating his thoughts were with the victim's family at this "unimaginably difficult time." He acknowledged the devastating impact of knife crime on communities.
