A man has been hospitalised after a stabbing in Islington on Sunday evening. Metropolitan Police officers were called to Hornsey Road at approximately 8:30 PM on May 31, responding alongside paramedics and an air ambulance.

According to a statement on X by the Metropolitan Police, the victim was taken to a hospital where his condition will be assessed. A crime scene remains in place as investigations continue. The incident occurred near the Arsenal Champions Parade, which took place earlier in the afternoon, though police have indicated no connection between the two events.
Arrests Made
The force confirmed on X that 16 arrests were made around the parade footprint as of 9 PM. Among those, six individuals were arrested on suspicion of assaulting officers. Police also responded to several other assaults and unlicensed music events in the area during the evening.
In a post on X, the Metropolitan Police stated: "A crime scene is in place following a stabbing in Hornsey Road. Officers were called shortly after 8:30 PM and responded with paramedics and the air ambulance. A man has been taken to hospital where his condition will be assessed. We have also responded to several other assaults and unlicensed music events in the area this evening. As of 9 PM we had made 16 arrests across the parade footprint, including six for assaulting officers."
Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward as the investigation progresses.
