A man has been shot and killed in Woolwich, leading to a murder investigation by local authorities. The incident occurred at approximately 3:40 PM on Thursday, April 2, on Lord Warwick Street.
Emergency Response and Victim Details
Despite immediate medical attention from paramedics, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released to the public, and his family has been notified and is receiving support from specialist police officers.
Arrests and Police Investigation
Three men have been arrested in connection with the shooting and are currently in police custody. Detective Chief Inspector Lucie Card, who is leading the investigation, stated, "Our thoughts remain with the victim’s family and loved ones. We are aware of the concern that this incident will cause the local community. We have already made three arrests and our investigation continues at pace."

Police are particularly interested in CCTV or dash cam footage that could assist in the investigation. DCI Card added, "I would appeal for anyone who was in the area at the time, who has CCTV or dash cam footage of the incident or has information that could help my officers to come forward."
