Dame Helen Mirren, make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury, and The Gruffalo author Julia Donaldson are among the prominent London figures honoured in this year's King's Birthday Honours list.

Companions of Honour

Dame Helen Mirren received the Order of the Companions of Honour, a prestigious award instituted by King George V in 1917, recognising long-standing national service or major contributions to arts, science, medicine, or government. Membership is limited to 65 living ordinary members.
