The grieving family of a beloved 25-year-old man who was fatally stabbed in West Hampstead has issued an emotional tribute, declaring he will never be forgotten. Suleyman Nuh was attacked on Alvanley Gardens, a quiet residential street near Finchley Road and Frognal station, at approximately 4:30 PM on January 29.
Critical Injuries and Tragic Outcome
Suleyman Nuh was rushed to a hospital in critical condition following the violent assault. Despite intensive medical care, his life support machines were switched off on February 9, and he was pronounced dead eight days after the initial incident. The Metropolitan Police released a statement from his family, which read: "Suleyman was loved by everyone around him, he was incredibly social and eager to lend a helping hand. He will forever be remembered."
Suspect Charged with Murder
In a swift police response, a 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on January 30, while Suleyman was still undergoing treatment. The suspect, identified as Dylan Gan from nearby Lithos Road, has since been charged with murder. Gan is scheduled to make his first appearance at the Old Bailey today, March 2.
Originally charged with attempted murder on February 1, the charges were upgraded following Suleyman's death. Additionally, Gan faces previous charges including:

- Possession of an offensive weapon in a private place
- Possession of a Class B drug
He appeared at Highbury Magistrates' Court on February 2 for these charges and was remanded into custody.
