Corrections: Pronunciation Study and Tennis Player ID

The Guardian has issued corrections for two articles published on 1 July. In the article 'Happee' or 'happeh'? How to spot a different class of Mancunian (p12), the research was incorrectly attributed solely to Lancaster University. In fact, the study was conducted jointly by Lancaster University and the University of Manchester.

Tennis Player Identification Error

In the article 'Shelton crashes out as stylish Fritz cuts a dash and cruises through' (p43, early editions), a tennis player was misidentified. The competitor who won Queen's Club and was subsequently knocked out of Wimbledon by Jaume Munar was Francisco Cerúndolo, not his brother Juan Manuel Cerúndolo.

Other recently amended articles include coverage of orca sightings off Northumberland, a Tour de France team guide, sentencing of anti-ICE protesters, fossil fuel drilling public input cuts, a chicken survival story, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce wedding rumors, and wildfires in southern France.
