Massive Cannabis Farm Discovered in Historic West London Pub
300 Cannabis Plants Found in Northolt Pub Raid

Major Cannabis Cultivation Operation Uncovered in West London Pub

In a significant police operation, authorities have discovered a massive cannabis farm containing approximately 300 plants inside a historic West London pub. The raid took place at The White Hart pub on Ruislip Road in Northolt following concerns raised by members of the public on January 29, 2026.

Sophisticated Operation with Serious Safety Concerns

The cannabis cultivation spanned multiple rooms within the vacant pub building, creating what police described as a "significant fire risk" to both the public and neighboring properties. Investigators found that electrical systems had been dangerously tampered with, including a meter bypass that circumvented safety protocols.

"This was a substantial and sophisticated cannabis grow that posed a serious fire risk to the public and neighbouring properties due to the unsafe electrical alterations," stated a spokesperson for Greenford Broadway Safer Neighbourhood Team. "We are committed to the safety of our communities."

Historic Building Used for Illegal Operation

The White Hart pub, which claims to be the oldest establishment of that name and is housed in a Grade-II listed building, has been vacant since its closure in 2015. The historic structure became the unlikely location for this extensive illegal cultivation operation.

Following the discovery, police have completely disassembled the cannabis farm and secured the site's electrical systems to eliminate immediate dangers. The case has now been transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation and potential prosecution.

Community Safety and Ongoing Efforts

Police Community Support Officer James Tupman emphasized the department's commitment to addressing drug-related activities: "We are committed to tackling drug dealing wherever we find it. We will keep you updated on our efforts to do this in your area, but if you have any concerns or evidence, it is important you report this as soon as possible."

Authorities are urging anyone with additional information about this incident or similar activities to contact police on 101 or report anonymously through Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111. The discovery highlights ongoing concerns about illegal drug operations in vacant properties and the associated safety risks they create for surrounding communities.
