A 33-year-old man from Woolwich, South London, has been charged following the rape of a teenage girl in Gravesend, Kent. Ionut Dobre, of Cleanthus Road, is one of five males charged in connection with the incident.

Details of the Charges

Dobre was charged with rape on Friday, April 24. The other individuals charged include two 16-year-olds and a 15-year-old, all from Gravesend. Additionally, Benone Inofte, 46, also of Gravesend, was charged the same day with aiding and abetting a rape.

Investigation Timeline

On Tuesday, April 21, Kent Police received reports that a teenage girl had been raped at a private property in Kent between March 25 and April 19. Two men and three boys were arrested on Tuesday, April 21, and Wednesday, April 22.

Court Appearances

All five individuals appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court on Friday, April 24. They are scheduled to next appear at Woolwich Crown Court on May 22. Both men have been remanded into custody. Two of the boys have been remanded into youth detention, while the third was released into the care of the local authority.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
