Katie Price's family has expressed horror following reports that her husband, Lee Andrews, planned to sell a sex tape of the couple for £250,000 to pay off his debts. Andrews, who was arrested for a second time in recent weeks over alleged unpaid debts of £120,000, reportedly discussed the scheme with a friend before his detention on fraud allegations.
Lee Andrews' alleged plan to sell intimate footage
According to a report by The Sun, Andrews told a pal that the explicit footage could be sold for a significant sum, potentially securing his freedom from Dubai's Al Awir prison. In a message sent earlier this month, he said: 'I need to get cash quickly. I've got some things to trade. I'm trying to sort out my OnlyFans.' He added: 'I could always release my sex tape with my wife, but it might go for a pretty penny. Yeah, there is a short one of that, but that's between you and me. So see if a newspaper will pay for that — quarter of a million f***ing quid.'
Legal warnings and family backlash
The publication noted that Andrews was warned that selling the tape would be illegal, as sharing or threatening to share private sexual images without consent constitutes intimate image abuse, a criminal offence punishable by prison. After this warning, he backtracked, saying: 'I was not serious on that, mate. We have OnlyFans, we will do our thing on this.' Despite this, Katie's family reportedly sees this as the 'last straw'. An insider told The Sun: 'They've been worried sick about her ever since she met Lee, and the longer she is with him, the more they fear for her well-being. Lee is prepared to stoop to the lowest low. It's terrible and alarming.' The insider added: 'The last thing she needs is to be with someone who will use her for money. It's appalling.'
Katie Price's OnlyFans and stance on nudity
Katie Price, 48, joined OnlyFans in 2022 and has said she earns between £50,000 and £80,000 per month from the platform. However, she has refused to appear fully nude, citing her children, Junior, 21, and Princess, 19. On Olivia Attwood's Getting Filthy Rich series, she explained: 'I was like, “I'm not getting my bits out”. But you don't have to do all that. Amid the legal drama, the couple's recent purchase of a £2,000 pomsky dog has sparked outrage. After Andrews' arrest, Katie Price posted on Instagram that the dog was with a friend in the UAE and would travel to the UK soon. However, Lee's ex, Dina Taji, claimed the puppy had been 'abandoned' and she had to 'rescue' it from a pet-sitter, saying: 'I need to save this dog now [that] this person [the owner] is in jail.'
