Police investigation and community reaction
A large cordon was established around the property on Sunday afternoon, with a dozen police officers present. A forensic tent was erected on Uxbridge Road near a car, and forensic experts conducted searches and reviewed documents in the area.
A 67-year-old woman who lives on Belmore Avenue, behind Uxbridge Road, told the Press Association: “It’s scary what happened, and it’s scary seeing the police, tent and everything. I’ve lived here for 12 years and I’ve never seen anything like it. It’s safe usually, I feel safe.”
