Police have identified the man who died after an assault in an East Finchley shop as 53-year-old Paul Heyron, a local resident. Officers responded to a call from the London Ambulance Service at 10:06 pm on Monday, June 30, following reports of an attack inside a shop on Brook Walk. Heyron was taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on Sunday, July 12.
Investigation Ongoing
The Metropolitan Police confirmed that no arrests have been made, but enquiries are continuing at pace. Specialist officers are providing support to Heyron's family. Detective Inspector Jon Moseling, the Senior Investigating Officer, stated: “Our thoughts are with Paul’s family following this tragic news. Our enquiries are continuing at pace, and we will update the community when we can. I would ask anyone with information, including CCTV or doorbell camera footage, that could support the investigation to contact us.”
Appeal for Information
Police are urging anyone with relevant information or footage to come forward. They also cautioned against engaging with online speculation. “We are aware of online and public speculation, and I urge people not to share or engage with speculation,” Moseling added.
