HMRC's Deliberate Defaulters Publication

HMRC publishes these details under its “Publishing Details of Deliberate Defaulters” legislation, which allows the department to name individuals and companies that deliberately underpay significant tax amounts. The published figures represent the tax on which penalties are based and the penalties themselves, and may not reflect the full amount owed.

HMRC also cautions that inclusion on the list does not necessarily reflect a person or company's current circumstances. Those listed may have changed their behaviour, moved addresses, or ceased trading, and businesses currently operating from the listed addresses may be entirely unrelated.
