Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown) has been causing chaos on Coronation Street since reuniting with her sister Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) earlier this year. Her crimes include stealing books, spreading rumours, taking a gun, and physically assaulting Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien). Despite her actions, she has evaded consequences—until now.
Jodie confesses to police
Next week, Shona and David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) finally bring their daughter Harper home from the NICU after a tumour removal operation. They arrive to a surprise party, but the mood sours when Jodie arrives. She reveals she has told the police the truth about the attack on Sarah and begs to stay while awaiting her court case. Viewers recall that Jodie attacked Sarah on the night of Theo's murder, giving Sarah a near-perfect alibi.
Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) visits Sarah in prison and shares the news of Jodie's confession. Meanwhile, Lily Platt (Grace Ashcroft-Gardner) pulls Jodie aside to question her about a trinket box hidden under the couch, which Sarah had warned David and Shona about. The box contains stolen items, including Brian Packham's (Peter Gunn) book and a cut-out of Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) from a photograph.
Lily discovers the trinket box
When Shona and David question Jodie about the trinket box's contents, Lily grows wary. Jodie tries to win Lily over by intervening when Lily defends Harry against bullies in the precinct, capturing a photo of the fleeing lads. Lily later recounts Jodie's heroism to David.
However, Jodie soon returns to her scheming ways. She opens her laptop and creates a thread on a forum for new mums, pretending to be Shona and describing her traumatic birth experience. The question remains: what is Jodie playing at, and will her scheming ever end?
