David and Victoria Beckham have publicly acknowledged their eldest son Brooklyn on Father's Day, sharing family photographs despite his recent DoorDash advert that referenced their estrangement. The posts mark the first time the couple have featured Brooklyn in social media messages since he accused them of trying to ruin his relationship earlier this year.
Victoria and David's Father's Day tributes
Fashion designer Victoria Beckham, 52, posted a holiday snap of David with sons Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and daughter Harper standing in the sea on a beach, alongside a second image of David smiling with a glass of wine. She wrote: 'David you truly are the best daddy. Your greatest achievement has always been our beautiful children and we love you so much. Happy Father’s Day.'
David Beckham, 51, also shared a carousel of images on Instagram, bookended by group pictures of all his children — one with Harper as a baby held by Brooklyn, and a more recent selfie with the four kids in a line. He posted individual photos with each child, starting with Brooklyn in age order, showing them at an outdoor summer meal. His caption read: 'Being a dad is my most important job… I love you all & thank you mummy @victoriabeckham for given me our beautiful family. Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads around the world.'
Brooklyn's ongoing estrangement
Brooklyn, 27, did not post a Father's Day message at the time of writing. The aspiring chef and hot sauce entrepreneur has been publicly feuding with his parents since January, when he claimed they had been 'trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding'. He also alleged his wife Nicola Peltz had been 'disrespected' by the family. Brooklyn has not appeared with his parents or acknowledged them on social media since that statement, in which he accused David and Victoria of controlling press narratives and prioritising 'Brand Beckham'.
Victoria addressed the feud for the first time in a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal, saying she and David 'love our children so much' and have 'always tried to be the best parents'.
DoorDash advert sparks backlash
Days before Father's Day, Brooklyn appeared in a World Cup-themed advert for US food delivery firm DoorDash. In the ad, he says: 'You’re probably wondering why I’m watching the Fifa World Cup 2026 from home. It’s not like I don’t have tickets. Um… it’s because… it’s a long story.' He then hands over tickets to a delivery driver, adding 'These can go to someone… else.' The advert was widely seen as referencing his family rift, drawing criticism from figures including broadcaster Lorraine Kelly.
A source told Metro: 'Brooklyn’s advert has left his family stunned. No one could have predicted he would do something like this. Monetising this situation will be heartbreaking for David and Victoria, especially after his dig at ‘Brand Beckham’ in his statement.' The campaign reportedly earned Brooklyn as much as $1 million (£745,000), with a source close to him telling Page Six: 'Anything that makes him money is good — it shows that his brand is there and flourishing.'
Attempts at reconciliation
The advert came just days after Brooklyn accused his family of a 'choreographed' attempt to reunite. Harper, 14, was seen trying to visit her brother shortly after David’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, which took place near Brooklyn’s LA home — but to no success. Brooklyn married Bates Motel actress Nicola Peltz, 31, daughter of billionaire Nelson Peltz, in 2022.
