Barnet Man Charged with Historic Sex Offences Against Girls

A 58-year-old man from North London has been charged with historic sexual offences against four girls, with the youngest being eight years old at the time of the incidents.

Details of the Charges

Brian Broderick, of Arncliffe Close, Barnet, has been charged with three counts of rape and two counts of sexual assault of a girl under the age of 13 by touching. The offences are alleged to have taken place between 2005 and 2017, involving four separate girls who were aged between eight and 16 at the time.

Investigation and Court Appearance

The charges follow an investigation by the Metropolitan Police, which began after a woman, now in her twenties, reported non-recent allegations to the police in June 2025. Broderick, who was living in the Barnet area at the time, was also known by the alias King Bootielero.

Police Statement

Detective Constable Liam Levy, who is leading the investigation, said: “It takes a significant amount of bravery to come forward and report allegations of a sexual nature. We are continuing to support the women who have come forward.

“Our investigation remains open and we’d encourage anyone who has been impacted by this case, or anyone with information, to come forward and speak with us. All information will be dealt with in the strictest confidence.”
