Tottenham man charged after Pemberton Road gunshot incident

A 27-year-old man from Tottenham has been charged in connection with an alleged altercation that resulted in a firearm being discharged and a person being threatened with a bladed article. Tyrease Barnes, of Warwick Gardens, Tottenham, faces charges of affray, possession of a controlled drug, and threatening a person with a bladed article, according to the Metropolitan Police.

Incident on Pemberton Road

Officers were called to reports of gunshots on Pemberton Road at approximately 11am on Tuesday, September 29. Initial inquiries did not establish a victim, and no arrests were made at the time. However, following further investigation, Barnes was identified and subsequently charged.

Images from the scene on the day of the incident show what appears to be a bullet on the ground and a bullet hole in a door. The charges relate to an incident involving two individuals in which a firearm was discharged on Pemberton Road, Hornsey.

Court appearance and remand

Barnes appeared at Highbury Magistrates Court on October 1, where he was remanded into custody. He is scheduled to appear next at Wood Green Crown Court on October 29.

No other arrests have been made in connection with the incident, and no injuries were reported. The Metropolitan Police stated that they are continuing their enquiries.
