Emergency services are searching for a missing teenage boy after a tragic boating accident off a popular Sydney beach left one man dead and another hospitalised.

Police have confirmed a major search is underway for a 14-year-old boy feared to have been a passenger on a boat that capsized near Barrenjoey Headland at Palm Beach on Wednesday.
