A strongman from Lincolnshire has claimed a world first by pulling a two-tonne car with his penis while on fire, all to raise awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health.
The Stunt
John Stephenson, 50, a martial arts expert and former bare-knuckle fighter, hauled a French police car 40 metres along a residential street in Halifax, West Yorkshire. Using a tow rope attached to his penis and with his body set ablaze, he completed the challenge despite admitting it hurt "quite a bit."
"I've pulled a car with my testicles before, and I've pulled a car on fire – so I thought why not combine both, but this time do it with my penis," Stephenson said. "I won't lie – it did hurt quite a bit. But my mind was focused on being on fire, and I just ploughed on and pulled it for around 40 metres."
The painter and decorator from Spalding said he doused himself in lighter fuel and faced a challenging wind, requiring a couple of attempts. Despite some marks, he confirmed everything remained intact.
Serious Cause
While Stephenson acknowledges people think he's "a bit mad," he emphasises the serious side: raising awareness of prostate cancer and bullying in schools. He is also fundraising for Ruddis Retreat in Huddersfield, which provides holidays for families of children with cancer.
Stephenson holds multiple world records, including 300 punches in 30 seconds while holding 1kg dumbbells, six martial arts kicking techniques in under five and a half seconds, and several vehicle-pulling feats.
His previous stunts include pulling a car with his testicles and pulling a car while his head was on fire, making this latest combination a natural progression.
