Nara Smith's daughter, 2, diagnosed with cancer

Influencer Nara Smith has revealed that her 2-year-old daughter Whimsy Lou has been diagnosed with cancer. The 24-year-old content creator shared the news in an Instagram post on Wednesday, detailing how she and her husband Lucky Blue Smith, 28, learned about their daughter's illness late last year. While the mother-of-four did not specify the type of cancer or her daughter's current condition, she stated that doctors told her Whimsy needs to start chemotherapy treatments immediately.

Discovery and Diagnosis

Nara described the moment they first noticed something was wrong. 'When we saw something suspicious on her, we took her to the ER and they didn't quite know what to make of it,' she said. 'When we took her into our pediatrician, I just remember him going really quiet and calm… My heart dropped in that moment. I don't know whether it was my gut telling me something or just a mom's intuition, but the first thing that I felt was she has cancer.'

Following the pediatrician's advice, Nara said her husband Lucky took their daughter to the nearest children's hospital. 'After a lot of X-rays, ultrasounds and finally a biopsy, they immediately called us and said that she had cancer, told us it had spread and that she needs to come and start chemo treatments immediately,' she continued.

Family and Support

Nara and Lucky also share daughter Rumble Honey, five, son Slim Easy, four, and daughter Fawnie Golden, who was born in September 2025. Lucky is also a father to his daughter Gravity, whom he shares with model Stormi Bree. In her video, Nara shared how speaking with other families going through similar experiences helped her. 'All of that combined really brought me a lot of comfort and alleviated the feeling of loneliness for me,' she added.

Musician Raye responded to her post, calling her 'my beautiful superwoman friend,' while model Winnie Harlow wrote, 'God bless, so sorry you're dealing with such heartbreaking news and journey. Praying for the healing and happiness of your beautiful family.'

Balancing Challenges

Nara explained the difficulty of balancing her daughter's treatment with other responsibilities. 'Processing this and navigating all of this as a family has been really hard,' she said. 'A lot of you have probably realized that I've been posting a little less and this is the reason why. Having found all of this out and navigating this while postpartum, also loving and caring for our other kids at home, also being in the hospital with Whimsy a lot and balancing work on top of that has been really challenging.'

She added that she struggles 'on a daily basis' to find a balance. 'Some days are a little easier, some days are really hard, and all I can do is try my best and show up in all those areas in the best way that I can.'

Reason for Sharing

Explaining her decision to share the video, Nara said she hopes it will bring others comfort and 'incentivize you to go get something checked out that you've been avoiding.'
