EastEnders' Oscar Branning faces awkward STI discovery after secret twin affair
EastEnders Oscar faces STI shock after twin affair

What is worse than cheating on your girlfriend with her twin brother? How about giving them both a sexually transmitted infection? And the girlfriend is a murderer. For Oscar Branning (Pierre Counihan-Moullier) in EastEnders, sex has never been this unsafe.

It is a fine mess Oscar has gotten himself into. And it is about to get a lot worse. For starters, he has fallen for a lady you definitely do not want to cross. Jasmine Fisher (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness) is all about revenge. The only reason she came to Walford was to make her birth mother Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) pay for abandoning her at birth, by stalking the woman to the brink of madness with the help of Queen Bitch of the Square herself, Chrissie Watts (Tracy-Ann Oberman).

When Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) got in the way of their plan, Jasmine shoved her down the steps of the Albert. Not only that, but she bumped off her own biological father, Anthony Trueman (Nicholas Bailey), to protect Zoe from harm. Throughout everything, Oscar followed Jasmine like a lovesick puppy and turned his back on being a player for her.

This was, of course, until Jasmine's manslaughter became the talk of the Square. Distraught to think the love of his life was going to prison, Oscar reverted to type and tried to fix his broken heart with a string of one-night stands. Then along came Josh Goodwin (Joshua Vaughan), Jasmine's twin brother. He came to Walford with his detective hat on to find out the truth behind the death of his foster dad, Keith Goodwin. It turns out Jasmine might have a thing for killing fathers, and may have had a hand in his death too.

But Oscar soon became a welcome distraction. The passion between the pair ignited. After a night together, Oscar discovered Josh's familial connection to his beloved, and when Jasmine emerged from court innocent of all charges, the two secret lovers decided to keep their little indiscretion forever buried so as not to hurt anyone. Because that always goes well in Soapland.

The lads in the love triangle have since given in to their chemistry, despite their best efforts to resist temptation, which gives Josh an opportunity to feed Oscar more information regarding Jasmine's role in their foster dad's death. But when Oscar approached Jasmine and started fishing for answers about what really happened that day, it did not go well. Jasmine answered his questions with a good old soap slap to the face. Ouch.

In spite of the bubbling tension, Jasmine buried her feelings in classic Jasmine style this week. It was her birthday, and she reluctantly agreed to attend a celebratory dinner thrown by Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace). Of course, Kat insisted Josh be invited. Despite everything, Jasmine wants the whole clan together.

One thing led to another, and soon Oscar and Josh were locking lips, completely unaware that they had been spotted by Kat. Horrified, Kat soon confronted the pair, warning Oscar to stay away from her family entirely. Believe it or not, that might be the least of Oscar's concerns.

Jasmine may be in the dark about his passionate affair with her twin, but that could all change in upcoming episodes of EastEnders, where the randy Branning fears he caught an STI. Learning he may have contracted a sexually transmitted disease from a previous fling, Oscar spirals into a panic. He knows he risks transmission to Jasmine and Josh and has no choice but to do the honorable thing and tell them.

The news goes down about as well as you would expect. You could cut the atmosphere with a knife as all three go for tests, with Jasmine ignoring Josh. What will the tests say? Will the results land the trio in trouble?
