She currently holds non-executive directorships at Barclays Bank UK PLC and Domino's Pizza Group PLC.
Jonathan Evans, appointed chief investment officer in 2023, oversees the endowment's investment strategy. He joined GMG as head of investment in 2017. Prior roles include senior executive at HSBC, partner at Hansa Capital, and chief information officer at Brit Insurance. He also serves on the board of the Gate Theatre.
Non-Executive Directors and Their Expertise
Chris Hitchen, an actuary with over 30 years in investment management, chairs Border to Coast, a £50 billion pension manager for local government workers, and the £20 billion Nuclear Liabilities Fund. He is a former chief executive officer of Railpen and has served as a board member at Nest, which provides pensions for 13 million UK workers.
Puja Jain, a designated partner at Generation Investment Management, oversees a global equity fund and brings over 17 years of sustainable investing experience. She has developed frameworks integrating environmental, social, and bio-diversity factors into investment strategy. Gayle Schumacher brings over four decades of private banking and investment management experience. She is a non-executive director of Scottish Widows Ltd and chairs its investment committee and ACD. Ole Jacob Sunde, chair of the Scott Trust since June 2021, has been associated with Schibsted Media Group ASA for 30 years, serving as board chair since 2002. He also chairs the Tinius Trust and is a member of the Board of Visitors at Columbia University's School of Journalism.

Stephen Godsell, company secretary, joined the group in 2017 as general counsel and company secretary. He previously held senior positions at PA Group, The Economist Group, and Clifford Chance. Godsell is a board director and trustee of The Economist Educational Foundation, a member of the joint committee on Legal Deposit, and a freeman of the City of London.
