Fantom Events said: 'We are sorry to hear the news that Tom Chadbon passed away last weekend. Tom was a familiar face to many from his numerous television and film credits, including Doctor Who, James Bond and Game of Thrones. He was always a warm and friendly man to work with and we send our condolences to his family at this sad time.'
Notable roles across decades
Chadbon's most iconic role was as Duggan in the sci-fi series Doctor Who, a character he played from 1979 to 1986. He also portrayed High Septon Maynard in the HBO fantasy epic Game of Thrones, listed as his final role in 2017 on IMDb. Over his career, he accumulated 120 film and television credits.
His other credits include the James Bond movie Casino Royale, the TV mini-series Rebecca, The Bill, Midsomer Murders, Peep Show, Blake's 7, and Silent Witness. His career began in the late 1960s, with appearances in ITV Playhouse, Out of the Unknown, Juggernaut, and Churchill's People during the 1970s.
