Secret Cinema has finally revealed the first spectacular show at its new permanent London theatre in Greenwich: a massive 'Pirates of the Caribbean' adventure. The immersive entertainment company will launch Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean: The Immersive Adventure at its new venue on the Greenwich Peninsula in February 2027.
A Long-Awaited Return
The announcement comes after a period of uncertainty for Secret Cinema. In November, the company teased a new show, with industry speculation pointing to a 'Barbie' adaptation, but that never materialized. Months later, Secret Cinema made two announcements on the same day: the return of 'Grease: The Immersive Movie Musical' to Battersea Park and the opening of a new permanent theatre. Now, the company has confirmed its inaugural production.
What to Expect
The show is based on the 2003 blockbuster Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, starring Johnny Depp. Unlike previous Secret Cinema productions where the film screening became secondary, this adaptation promises a balance of live spectacle and cinema. Audiences can expect epic aerial stunts, fearless swordfights, and immersive sets inspired by the raucous port of Tortuga and the Black Pearl ship.
