Gray's sinister plan puts Jordan in danger in EastEnders

Gray Atkins' sinister plan is set in motion next week in EastEnders, placing his son Jordan in grave danger. The killer, played by Toby-Alexander Smith, has been secretly conspiring with his grandmother Sheila Atkins (Sheila Ruskins) from prison, where he is serving a life sentence for the murders of Chantelle Atkins, Kush Kazemi, and Tina Carter.

Chelsea trusts Sheila with Jordan

Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) has recently allowed Sheila to spend time with Jordan (Jahsaiah Williams), as Sheila has been helping with medical costs for the youngster's recovery after he was hit by Ian Beale's car. Sheila has worked hard to earn Chelsea's trust, but Chelsea is unaware that Sheila is in cahoots with Gray, who is desperate to bond with the son he hasn't seen since his 2022 conviction.

Next week, Chelsea asks Sheila to babysit Jordan while she visits her mother Denise Fox (Diane Parish) in hospital, where Denise is undergoing treatment for blood cancer.

Sheila tests Jordan's secrecy

During her time with her great-grandson, Sheila darkly tests Jordan's ability to keep a secret by taking him out and making him promise not to tell anyone. They have a close call, but Sheila is assured Jordan will comply with Gray's plan. She then begins to put the plan into action.

Gray is thrilled when Sheila updates him on the latest developments. However, their scheming hits a snag when Chelsea grows suspicious about something Jordan says, followed by a knock at the door that worsens the situation. Sheila is left shaken and calls Gray to regroup.

EastEnders airs these scenes from Monday 3rd August at 7.30pm on BBC One or stream first from 6am on iPlayer.
