Hidden Society, a cocktail bar on Goodge Street in Fitzrovia, has introduced a new drinks menu inspired by the late artist Bob Ross, featuring five cocktails that translate the recurring elements of his landscape paintings into flavour.
The 'Happy Accidents' menu, created by general manager Mario Hernandez, includes drinks named Sky, Mountain, Forest, Lake, and Sunset. Each cocktail is designed to evoke a specific part of a Bob Ross landscape, from the light and floral Sky to the warm and spiced Sunset.

The bar, which opened last January, has always centred its drinks menu on art, with previous creations inspired by works like Botticelli's Birth of Venus. The new Bob Ross menu is described as “translating the experience of a painting into something that can be tasted”.
Mario Hernandez, general manager and creator of the Happy Accidents menu, explained: “Bob Ross showed that creativity doesn’t need to be rigid or perfect. We took the recurring elements of his landscapes and considered how each one might taste. Sky, Mountain, Forest, Lake and Sunset are individual expressions but together they make one complete scene.”
Five Cocktails That Capture Bob Ross's Landscapes
The Sky cocktail, made from Crystal Head vodka, Fenjiu Baijiu, Suze, chrysanthemum and honey cordial, and citrus soda, is described as “light, floral and expansive”. The Mountain cocktail, made from Kay Sake, Ojo de Dios Mezcal, Pine Liqueur, Prosecco, and Yuzu Sorbet, is “bright, crisp and textured” and doubles as a dessert.
The Forest cocktail, made from Mijenta Reposado Tequila, Skinos Mastiha Liqueur, Rosemary, Ginger, and Dr Hostetter’s Bitter, is described as “deep, aromatic and alive”. The Lake cocktail, made from Crystal Head Vodka, Beesou Honey Aperitif, Edwards Elderflower Liqueur, Chamomile, and Orange Bitters, is a personal favourite for its fresh, clear flavour.
The Sunset cocktail, made from Mijenta Blanco Tequila, Cointreau Spicy, Koosh, and Citrus, is described as “warm, vibrant and gently spiced”.
Pricing and Availability at Hidden Society
The Happy Accidents menu is available now at Hidden Society, 61 Goodge St, London. The cocktails cost £9 until 7pm and £12 after 7pm. The bar itself is an intimate space with booths and a library area, designed for relaxed conversation.
With its unique theme and expert-crafted drinks, Hidden Society is likely to attract attention, but for now it remains a hidden gem in London's cocktail scene.
