Inception Group, the hospitality company behind Mr Fogg's and Cahoots, will open a new immersive bar called The Admiral's Mess inside London's iconic Admiralty Arch. The venue will span 2,400 square feet and seat 60 guests, adding a third drinking destination to the highly anticipated Waldorf Astoria London hotel, which is scheduled to open in autumn 2026.
Third Venue Joins Hotel's Lineup
The Waldorf Astoria London Admiralty Arch is set to be the first hotel inside the Grade I-listed Admiralty Arch, a landmark that has long been a symbol of the British capital. The hotel has already announced restaurants from Michelin-starred chefs Clare Smyth and Daniel Boulud, as well as whisky and cocktail bars. The Admiral's Mess will now join that impressive roster, offering guests the chance to 'discover something distinctive and unexpected', according to the group.
Inception Group has built a reputation for creating quirky, themed drinking dens. Its Soho venue Cahoots is themed around the London Underground, complete with a 'train guard' actor at the door. Another recent opening, Bunga90, is a 1990s-themed adult playground featuring karaoke in the toilet lobby. These past projects suggest The Admiral's Mess will likely embrace a playful, unconventional atmosphere, fitting for the historic setting.
Historic Location, Unique Concept
Charlie Gilkes, co-founder of Inception Group, expressed enthusiasm about the project. 'We are honoured to have the opportunity to open within such an iconic London location and are excited to have created a totally unique concept fitting for such a historic site,' he said.
