Sporty Spice has fuelled speculation that a full Spice Girls reunion could be on the cards for 2026, marking three decades since the release of their ground-breaking debut album, 'Spice'.
Melanie Chisholm, known globally as Mel C, has spoken publicly about the potential for a tour featuring all five original members, stating she remains 'optimistic' about the prospect.
A Precious Legacy
While expressing her enthusiasm, the singer also admitted that the group is being highly selective about any plans. She revealed that the very thing stopping them is their deep care for the band's enduring legacy.
'The thing that stops us is we feel so precious about it, we want to make sure it's the right thing and agree on the right thing,' Mel C explained during an appearance on Good Morning America.
She confirmed that the group is currently in discussions to 'explore what opportunities are out there' for their 30th anniversary, proud of the fact that they continue to attract fans from new generations.
Mel B Kept Out of the Loop
In a humorous revelation, Mel C confessed that one member is being deliberately kept in the dark about any concrete plans: Mel B, aka Scary Spice.
The reason? Her inability to keep a secret. Joking on the podcast No Filter with Kate Langbroek, Mel C stated, 'We've decided now we're not going to tell Mel anything because she can't keep her mouth shut.'
She directly advised fans, 'So don't listen to Mel B because she doesn't know, because we're not telling her.' This would be the first tour to feature all five members since their iconic performance at the London 2012 Olympic Games closing ceremony.
Rumours Fueled by Posh Spice
The latest comments add weight to rumours that have circulated for years. The speculation intensified significantly in September 2025 when Victoria Beckham posted a tantalising hint on social media.
Posh Spice shared a clip from a past Spice Girls concert, captioning it with the single, suggestive word 'Tempting' and tagging her former bandmates, sending fans into a frenzy of anticipation for a potential 2026 comeback.
