Selena Gomez Spotted Filming Only Murders in the Building in Notting Hill
Selena Gomez Filmed in Notting Hill for Only Murders

Selena Gomez left fans starstruck while shooting scenes for the hit Disney+ show Only Murders in the Building in the middle of busy Notting Hill this week. The actor, in character as sleuth Mabel Mora, was seen strolling through Portobello Market alongside her comedy legend co-stars Martin Short and Steve Martin.

The trio appeared to be discussing baby names as they followed a camera crew past various stalls and overlooking homes. Selena, who skyrocketed to fame on the teen sitcom Wizards of Waverly Place, later stopped to take pictures with people watching the action as they moved between locations.

Just days earlier, the 33-year-old surprised make-up lovers at the Oxford Circus branch of Space NK at an event for her brand Rare Beauty. She warmly chatted to admirers and snapped selfies before being met by large crowds on the street outside.

Season 6 Filming in London

The filming in West London will make up series six of Only Murders in the Building, which was renewed by Hulu almost immediately after the season five finale last autumn. The upcoming season, which is set to have ten episodes, marks the first time the murder mystery has significantly shifted its setting from the fictional Arconia building in New York City.

Audiences last saw Gomez, Short and Martin uncovering a gambling ring tied to a group of deceitful billionaires while investigating the death of their apartment block's beloved doorman Lester. Steve Martin teased the start of production in the UK with a tongue-in-cheek Instagram photo at Trafalgar Square captioned "Now posting from an unknown location". Selena also shared news of the first day of filming when she reposted a photo from the show's official Instagram account to her 406 million followers with the caption "Season 6 Day 1!".

London's Film Scene

London has been no stranger to film and TV sets this year, with Slow Horses and Practical Magic 2 setting up across the city. In March, Hammersmith lad Tom Hardy had fans' hearts racing as he filmed drama MobLand in Hackney.
