Netflix’s top five most-watched TV shows of the week have been revealed, with Kevin Hart’s roast drawing over 13.5 million views. The list includes a mix of comedy, crime thrillers, and true crime documentaries.
5. Berlin and the Lady with an Ermine – 6.2 million views
This Spanish crime series is the only non-English title in the top five. It serves as the second season of the Money Heist prequel, following Berlin and his crew as they attempt a spectacular art heist in Seville. Critics praise its charm and fun, with Decider noting it retains the original series’ joie de vivre. Fans have binge-watched it, with one commenting on social media that they didn’t sleep after watching.
4. Legends – 6.6 million views
Written by Neil Forsyth of The Gold fame, this crime blockbuster tells the mostly true story of UK Customs officers dismantling a drug-importing network. Steve Coogan leads the cast, but Tom Burke and Hayley Squires stand out. The series holds an 85% audience score and a 96% critic rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
3. Nemesis – 7.1 million views
Inspired by the film Heat, Nemesis follows LAPD detective Isaiah Stiles (Matthew Law) chasing master thief Coltrane Wilder (Y’lan Noel). With a 92% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes, The Guardian’s Jack Seale called it “ridiculously entertaining” for its perfect chaos.
2. Worst Ex Ever: Season 2 – 8.1 million views
The true crime series returns with four stories of disastrous relationships, including kidnappings, hostage situations, and a cold case breakthrough. Survivor testimony, body cam footage, and animated re-enactments highlight warning signs. Karina Adelgaard of Heaven of Horror praised the focus on victims’ perspectives.
1. The Roast of Kevin Hart – 13.5 million views
This comedy event from the Netflix Is a Joke Festival features Shane Gillis hosting, with roasters like Chelsea Handler, Pete Davidson, and Jeff Ross. Special guests included Tom Brady and Dwayne Johnson. Reviews were mixed; Decider said it “came up short,” while GQ called roasts “cooked” as a format. However, Katt Williams and Brady were highlights. The special sparked backlash over some jokes, but Hart seemed unfazed.
