Babylon Park, London's first-ever indoor theme park, offers a 35,000-square-foot playground beneath Camden, North London, featuring adult-oriented rides and games. Described as London's 'best-kept secret,' the venue remains largely unknown to many Londoners despite its central location.
Rides, games, and opening hours at Babylon Park
The two-floor venue includes arcade games, bumper cars, an indoor rollercoaster, a drop tower, and a soft play area. To avoid peak crowds, visitors should steer clear of core hours during summer holidays. The park stays open until 9pm on weekdays and Sundays, and 10pm on Saturdays.
Social media users have highlighted the park's appeal for adults. TikTok user @serenalevart visited with friends and called it the 'coolest arcade' in the city. @keepingupwithchels admitted she took her kids but went on the same rides with her adult friends. There is no minimum age requirement, though height restrictions apply for both the drop tower and the rollercoaster.
Ticket prices and visitor experiences
A ticket provides unlimited access to all attractions. Pricing starts at £26.25 for an hour and a half, or £24.06 per person when buying in a group of four. Unlimited access for three hours costs £43.75, while three hours of soft play alone is £8.75.
Visitor reviews are mixed. Kevane H described the park as offering 'thrilling games, fun attractions, and a vibrant atmosphere,' adding that a 'clean and safe environment, combined with friendly staff, makes it an unforgettable experience.' Aminat M called it an 'amazing place for both kids and adults, especially during cold weather.'
However, Tripadvisor user @gorgeousgirl called it 'highly overrated,' noting that 'the only positive was that the staff were polite and helpful. It cost me £60 for one hour for myself and an 11-year-old.' Daniel M advised people to go to 'an amusement park or the seaside instead,' saying, 'There's not really that much there: the rollercoaster, the skydrop, [and the] bumper cars which just seemed to do circles.'
Location and alternatives in London
Babylon Park is located at 8 Castlehaven Road, NW1 8QU, an eight-minute walk from Camden Road Station. For other adult entertainment, a 'Mega City' complex recently opened in Slough, Berkshire, 40 minutes from Central London on the Elizabeth Line. That 55,000-square-foot venue features more than 100 arcade machines, a giant laser tag arena, and countless karaoke rooms, and opened on June 30.
Alternatively, Roof East in Stratford sits on the top floor of a multi-storey car park, offering games, an open-air cinema, street food vendors, free DJ sets, and deck chairs. Entry is free, making it a budget-friendly option for summer relaxation.
