A recent discovery by Doctor Todd put a halt to her plan to leave the village. A couple of days ago, Caitlin learned she had inherited her late father's house. Lacking funds for renovations, she turned to blackmailing Charity Dingle for money. Doctor Todd demanded £10,000, threatening to reveal to Jacob Gallagher and Sarah Sugden that baby Leyla is not actually their child. Charity could only scrape together £5,000 and tried to threaten Caitlin into dropping the rest, but that worked only briefly.
The Woolpack Revelation
Just before her intended departure, Doctor Todd had lunch with Manpreet Sharma at The Hide. Nearby, Ryan Stocks was doing pub admin. During their conversation, Manpreet revealed that Charity owns half of the Woolpack. Previously, Doctor Todd believed Charity was just a barmaid. Enraged by the lie, Caitlin increased her blackmail demand to £100,000 to keep the secret quiet.
Charity's Desperate Attempts
In today's episode, the wicked woman took pleasure in reminding Charity of the debt. When Sarah approached and questioned their talk about money, Charity covered by claiming she had accidentally damaged Doctor Todd's car. Desperate for cash, Charity tried to encourage Caleb and Ruby Miligan to buy the pub. Caleb sensed something was wrong but Charity refused to explain. Despite this, Caleb offered his support. Witnessing this, Doctor Todd decided to sink to a new low.
The Terrifying Confrontation
At Jacobs Fold, Charity came downstairs to find Doctor Todd in her home, holding baby Leyla. Caitlin remarked that newborn babies should not be left alone because anything can happen, leaving Charity uncertain of her intentions. Though baby Leyla was eventually returned, the message was clear: Doctor Todd is in control.

Doctor Todd has given Charity one week to get the remaining money. With such a short deadline, Charity will turn to Kim Tate to buy her shares of the pub. However, Kim may refuse without knowing the full story, potentially worsening the situation.
