Alton Towers has announced a host of new attractions and events for May 2026, including a Bluey-themed ride, the rebirth of the iconic Nemesis roller coaster, and a Twilight Guide experience. The theme park, located in Staffordshire, England, is set to open the new Bluey ride in the CBeebies Land area, bringing the popular Australian children's show to life. Additionally, the Nemesis roller coaster, which closed in 2022 for refurbishment, will reopen as Nemesis Reborn with updated elements. The Twilight Guide offers after-hours access with special lighting and effects. These additions aim to enhance visitor experience for families and thrill-seekers.
Bluey Ride: A New Adventure for Families
The Bluey ride, based on the Emmy-winning animated series, will transport families into the world of Bluey, Bingo, and their friends. The ride promises interactive elements and immersive storytelling, suitable for younger audiences. It joins existing CBeebies attractions like the Hey Duggee ride and the Something Special sensory garden.
Nemesis Reborn: A Classic Returns
Nemesis Reborn will feature a redesigned track, new trains, and improved theming, while retaining the original layout's intensity. The coaster is known for its inverted design and close-to-the-ground maneuvers. The refurbishment includes a new pre-show and storyline, enhancing the ride experience.
Twilight Guide: After-Hours Excitement
The Twilight Guide offers evening access to selected rides, including Nemesis Reborn and the Smiler, with special lighting effects and reduced queues. This event runs on select dates in May 2026 and requires a separate ticket.
Alton Towers continues to invest in new attractions to compete with other UK theme parks. The park's 2026 season promises a blend of nostalgia and innovation, appealing to a wide range of visitors.
