Career Highlights and Family Legacy
Born in Glasgow, Law rose to prominence in the 1960s with roles in television series such as Dr Finlay’s Casebook and Dixon of Dock Green, before landing high-profile film roles in the 1980s. It was there she also met her future husband, Eric Thompson, an actor best known for adapting and narrating the BBC series The Magic Roundabout. The couple married in 1957 and had two daughters, Emma and Sophie. Eric Thompson died in 1982 at the age of 53 following a heart attack.
