Nicola Peltz has seemingly taken a swipe at her sister-in-law Harper Beckham, 14, by referring to her new sister-in-law Kenya Kinski-Jones as her 'dream sister' in a recent Instagram post. The 31-year-old American heiress shared an emotional tribute celebrating her brother Will Peltz's wedding to Kenya, the daughter of record producer Quincy Jones and actress Nastassja Kinski.
Wedding post sparks speculation
In her Instagram post, Nicola wrote: 'This wedding was truly one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever had the privilege of witnessing. Willy, thank you for finally and officially giving me my dream sister, Ken.' The phrase 'dream sister' is the same one she used for Harper two years ago, before Brooklyn Beckham cut ties with his family.
At the time, Nicola had called Harper her 'perfect dream little sister' and attended the premiere of Nicola's directorial debut 'Lola' with her in 2024. 'If I could create the perfect dream little sister, it’s her. I’m so blessed I get to have her as my little sister in my life,' Nicola said then.
Brooklyn Beckham's family rift
Brooklyn, 27, publicly stated he no longer wished to associate with his parents, Victoria and David Beckham, and did not acknowledge their Father's Day posts. Recently, Harper attempted to visit Brooklyn in Los Angeles during Sir David's Walk of Fame star unveiling, but Brooklyn was not home. A spokesperson for the Peltz-Beckham team told Metro it was 'choreographed for the cameras'.
Will Peltz and Kenya Kinski-Jones wedding
The wedding was intimate, with the couple exchanging vows privately at the Peltz family home in New York before a larger ceremony. Nicola's father, Nelson Peltz, served as best man and walked Kenya down the aisle, as her father Quincy Jones died in November 2023. Kenya's bridal bouquet was wrapped in Jones's tie, and his handwriting was embroidered into her wedding dress.
'Beginning the wedding weekend with the most meaningful part filled all of the unspoken moments between us throughout,' Kenya told Vogue. 'My father-in-law Nelson and my uncle Richard walked me down the aisle, and my mother-in-law Claudia sweetly walked with Will down the aisle.'
Kenya's half-sister, actress Rashida Jones, was part of the bridal party. However, Kenya's mother Nastassja was reportedly absent from the wedding and not mentioned in the Vogue interview, sparking rumours of another feud.
