This one-off decision aims to raise funds for the RHS's school gardening campaign, an initiative focused on encouraging children to engage with horticulture. Beckham's gnome, which he has spent days painting, will be auctioned alongside others decorated by celebrities like actor Cate Blanchett and cook Mary Berry.
A Whimsical and Unconventional Show
This year's Chelsea Flower Show promises to be more whimsical than usual, featuring unusual attractions such as a "sex garden" sponsored by a vibrator company, themed around Aphrodite with flowers associated with love and sex.
