Rossella, the beloved Italian restaurant in Kentish Town, is opening a second location in Muswell Hill. The new outpost, set to open on May 12, will feature an extended menu, a tiramisu trolley, and a separate bar with small plates and pizzas.
A New Chapter for Rossella
Since 2012, Rossella has been a staple in Kentish Town, serving hearty Italian classics to loyal locals. Now, owner Luca Meola is bringing the same cozy atmosphere to Muswell Hill. The new restaurant will be located at St James's Square (107 Muswell Hill Road, N10 3HS), taking over the spot previously occupied by Giggling Squid.
Menu Highlights
Fan favorites like slow-braised lamb ragu tagliatelle and seafood spaghetti in Napoli sauce will be available. Meola plans to expand the à la carte options with dishes such as sliced steak served with rocket and parmesan salad, and putanesca salmon. Local institution Dunn's Bakery is supplying the ciabatta for the bruschetta di pomodoro.
Tiramisu Trolley and Bar
Adding a touch of decadence, the restaurant will feature a tiramisu trolley serving homemade tiramisu tableside. In addition to the all-day dining, Rossella Muswell Hill will include a separate bar offering small plates and pizzas made with 48-hour slow-fermented dough. The bar will serve aperitivo and cocktails, including limoncello spritz, negronis made with Sacred Vermouth (distilled locally in Highgate), espresso martinis, and wines from the family vineyard in Benevento.
Deli and Soft Launch
The Rossella deli will offer house-made products and curated Italian hampers, including in-house chilli oil, balsamic glaze, and bottles of limoncello and meloncello. A soft launch is scheduled from May 5 to May 10, with the official opening on May 12.
