In a sweet development for London's culinary scene, the esteemed Belgian chocolatier Pierre Marcolini is set to open a flagship store in the heart of the city this month. The new location on Regent Street, announced mere days after Lindt's east London expansion, marks a significant addition to the capital's luxury retail landscape.
A Decadent Destination in the West End
Scheduled to officially open on March 27, the Regent Street store will join Marcolini's existing London presence, which includes outlets in Notting Hill and Marylebone High Street, as well as counters in Selfridges and Harrods. However, this central London flagship promises a unique experience, situated just minutes from Oxford Street and Piccadilly Circus tube stations.
Exclusive Flavours and Innovative Features
The store will showcase exclusive flavours, such as strawberries and cream, alongside a dedicated hot chocolate counter serving Marcolini's signature 'grands crus' beverages both hot and cold. A standout feature is an in-store macaron carousel, offering lemon tea and pistachio macarons that circle the room, adding a whimsical touch to the shopping experience.
Soft Launch and Special Offers
To celebrate the opening, Pierre Marcolini will host a soft launch on March 25-26. During this event, 500 'Pierre Marcolini Loves London' kits will be available for £15 each. According to the chocolatier, this price is well below the value of the contents, which include:
- A hot or cold cup of 'grand cru nectar' hot chocolate
- One mini-Malline gift box containing nine vanilla chocolates
- One vanilla 'grand cru kumo' pastry with a Union Jack Flag design, created exclusively for the Regent Street store
Attendees of the soft launch will also get a first look at limited-edition pastry, chocolate, and hot chocolate flavours that have never been sampled before, offering a preview of Marcolini's innovative offerings.
Expansion and International Presence
Pierre Marcolini, which celebrated its 30th anniversary last year, is already a global brand with flagship stores in cities like Brussels, New York, Kuwait, and Tokyo. The new Regent Street location is part of a broader UK expansion strategy, aiming to make its premium chocolates more accessible to British consumers.
Following the soft launch, Pierre Marcolini Regent Street will open its doors to the public on March 27, located at 56 Regent Street, W1B 4DY. This opening underscores London's status as a hub for luxury food and beverage brands, attracting international names to its vibrant streets.
